Your new role
The Flood Risk Engineer will join the Flood Risk Management team at Richmond, working on a number of Central London projects. Working with a high level of autonomy, the you will be charged with:
- Assisting in project delivery and management within the Flood Risk Management team
- Ensuring operations are delivered to the highest quality standards
- Working alongside the water management team helping to develop mitigation ideas
- Developing their own team of junior engineers and consultants
- Being involved in all aspects of flood risk delivery schemes
About you
We are seeking a professional that is experienced in flood risk management, with the skill set to thrive in a small and dynamic team. You must have:
- A relevant civil engineering/environmental degree, or masters level qualification
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results, whilst meeting time and budget requirements
- Strong understanding of implementing drainage principles and flood management policies
- Good knowledge of SuDS and the Flood and Water Management Act 2010
- The ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders
