As a Highways and Infrastructure Engineer, you will be exposed to all elements of the business from project and client management, through to technical delivery working across the design teams.

Your new role

As a Highways and Infrastructure Engineer, you will be exposed to all elements of the business from project and client management, through to technical delivery working across the design teams. You will be working on schemes including town centre redevelopments, new cycle ways, civic squares, junction improvements and carriageway maintenance schemes to name a few.

Owing to a robust pipeline of interesting civil engineering and public realm design projects they are looking for an ambitious engineer with some design experience to join the team. You must have:

  • Sound technical ability and experience in designing highway or public realm schemes 
  • An analytical mindset and ability to problem solve and think logically 
  • Ability to independently spot and act on opportunities for projects 
  • Flair for innovation and thinking differently 
  • Experience of positive engagement with multiple risk management authorities 

A bit about you

Alongside must showing a real interest in sustainable design and demonstrable appetite for learning and developing your career further, you will

  • Have a degree in civil engineering (or equivalent) and be working towards obtaining chartership. Professional institution membership will also be funded, as will the professional development you require to meet your objectives. 
  • Sound technical ability and experience in designing highway or public realm schemes  
  • A desire to produce excellent, environmentally sustainable, and functional drainage design  
  • The ability to integrate into a team and liaise with clients and stakeholders  
  • A demonstrable appetite for learning and developing your career
