We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Design Engineer to join a dynamic team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our construction projects, ensuring their successful implementation from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will
Lead and manage the design process for assigned construction projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and civil engineering works.
Utilize your in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
Work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design activities and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of design proposals, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes.
Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that design deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and adhere to high standards.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and optimization, balancing project objectives with cost-effective design solutions.
Assess potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive design documentation, reports, and presentations, ensuring timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

Ideally we are looking for someone who is
Highly experienced in design engineering within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
Oversee the application of design management systems and processes ensuring continuous improvement including understand and application of BIM
Strong proficiency in engineering software and design tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software.
Thorough understanding of construction principles, codes, regulations, and best practices
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Maintain interest in industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, incorporating them into design processes to drive innovation and efficiency.
