Your New Role

As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in leading the project management team in overseeing the highway project efficiently and cost-effectively.

The ideal candidate will

  • Monitor project costs, providing regular reports and identifying cost-saving opportunities and evaluating risk.
  • Lead the procurement process, evaluating and recommending subcontractors, and managing supplier contracts.
  • Evaluate and recommend subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers and manage supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Work closely with project managers, highway engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Proficient in conducting quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, and monitoring variations to the contract

About you

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead and demonstrate relationship building skills, diplomacy and your willingness to complete the project to a high standard and within the timeframe.

You will be able to tick the following below

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading a team throughout a project from start to finish.
  • Strong skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with the ability to administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure comprehensive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in industry-specific software and tools relevant to highway engineering, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or any specialised quantity surveying software
